The current state of the world is considered by many to be quite deplorable. We live in a world where religion and God are out of fashion. Biblical values that have been adhered to for thousands of years have been replaced by an immense desire to break God’s commandments. People have shown a surprising creativity towards sin and have come up with diverse ways to fall deeper into it.

What was once considered normal, has now become weird. And what was once weird, has now become normal. The nuclear family as God willed it into existence since the creation of Adam and Eve, and his commandment for them to be fruitful and multiply, has viciously been attacked by the devil. What was the first commandment God gave to mankind, is now being destroyed by a plethora of acronyms that represent humans sinful lusts. The heathen seem to rage, and the wicked seem to grow stronger and stronger.

But not forever. Because only God will endure forever, and he has prepared his throne for judgment. Psalm 9:7. The Word of God is filled with mercy and love for those that fear him. In contrast however, the Word of God also sternly warns those nations that forget God.

The heathen are sunk down in the pit that they made: in the net which they hid is their own foot taken…the wicked shall be turned to hell, and all the nations that forget God. Psalm 9:15 & 17.

Hell awaits the nations that forget God. Disaster and eternal damnation will be the award of the heathen. Let us therefore pray that our nations will find the right path and repent from evil. Let us take example from the people of Nineveh, so that God may forgive his people and withhold the burning fire from the skies. Jonah 3:10.
