A Bright Path

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. (Ps. 119:105)

If the Lord is our light, why would we ever fear? God and his Word are a light even in the darkest days. On Him we rely, as he lightens our path in this dark world. A world filled with illness, war, killing, hatred, blasphemy, death and utter darkness as our reality – but the Word of God is our light, our happiness, our patience, our comfort, our love, our hope and our salvation.

Then Jesus spake unto them saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life” (John 8:12). When we follow Jesus, our feet always walk in a bright path, a path illuminated by the Word of God. The darkness that surrounds us cannot overcome the light that is the Word, and it’s constant presence in our life is like an eternal flame, always keeping us warm and always brightening our day. Let us walk with God, and hold the lamp of His Word in front of us so that we may be at peace at all times, and we may obtain the light of life.
