Chrism

“Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the Lord his God.” (Psalm 146:5)

If you hope in God, and live a life of dependence on him, you will be happy. Every believer can look up to the God of Jacob and hope in the providence of God for all the good things we need. God, who is the maker of all the earth, and the entire universe, can take care of us more than we can take care of ourselves. Trust not in princes, says King David, meaning do not put your trust in humans, but instead trust he who has everything in the palm of his hand.

“See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands…” (Isaiah 49:16)
