Change is essential in our lives. Change from bad to good; from angry to calm; from sad to happy; from rude to respectful; from sin to holiness, etc. At times, we might think it is difficult for someone to change, or difficult for ourselves to change.
If change was our decision only, then it might be true that we cannot change. But God, who can change the entire universe, certainly can change us if it is his will. All we need to do is ask God to change us, and to admit that alone we cannot change ourselves. We must have hope that we can always change for the better, because our Lord can make a new creation out of us.
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. (2 Cor. 5:17)
