“Hearken unto thy father that begat thee…” (Pr. 23:22)

It is our duty to listen to our fathers, and to understand how we can gladden their hearts, so that they can rejoice in their children. We can be a joy to our fathers if we be wise and righteous and by listening to their advice and teachings.

God is the perfect image of a father, full of grace, compassion, mercy, protection and unconditional love. He will never fail us and never leave us. Our Father came into this world to fill the dark with light, He came as Jesus Christ, in the flesh, to heal us and give us salvation. For fathers on earth, following our Father in heaven is the most wonderful gift they can give their children. Following our father in heaven will lead father’s on earth to be pleased with their children so that they may say “You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.” (Luke 3:22)

We pray for all fathers, that God may strengthen them and give them the wisdom to teach their family to fear the Lord and lead them on the path of the Kingdom of God.
