“The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that waters shall be watered also himself.” (Pr. 11:24)
It is a great advantage of our own to do good to others. The liberal soul, the soul of blessing, that prays for the afflicted and provides for them, that scatters blessings with gracious lips and generous hands – that soul shall be made fat with true pleasure and enriched with more grace.
Those that are merciful shall find mercy, and those that are kind shall find kindness. Those that teach, shall learn, and those that give what they have, shall have more. As we do good, God will enable us to do more good: If we water, we shall be useful and acceptable like rain on a dry earth.
