Chrism

“For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb.” (Psalm 139:13)

We are made in God’s image, by Him. He created us, and our parents are merely the instruments. Through God’s eternal wisdom, and by his divine operation, we are formed in the womb.

“Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them.” (Psalm 139:16)

All our days are numbered and God knows us before we are conceived and before we are born. God knows the past and the future, just as we know now. God has a calling for every life, a calling to believe in Him and abide in Him.

Children are a gift from God. They are blessings, and not burdens. God gives children to their parents, and they are what he makes them, whether they be comforts or crosses.
